By installing or using Differing Reader (the "add-on", "we", "our"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the add-on.

Service description

Differing Reader is a free Google Workspace Editor Add-on that computes a textual diff between two Google Docs you specify. There is no account; access is granted through your Google account using OAuth.

Your responsibilities

• You may only use the add-on to compare documents you own or that you have lawful authorization to access.
• You agree not to use the add-on to process content that is illegal in your jurisdiction or that violates the rights of any other person or organization.
• You agree not to attempt to abuse, attack, or reverse-engineer the add-on or its backend, or to use it in ways that interfere with its availability for other users.

Disclaimer of warranties

The add-on is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The add-on will be available without interruption or free from errors.
• The diff results will always be accurate, complete, or fit for any particular purpose.
• Data transmission will be free from any risk despite our use of HTTPS.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the developers of Differing Reader shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or business opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of the add-on, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim related to the add-on shall not exceed the amount you paid us for it, which is zero.

Modifications and termination

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the add-on (in whole or in part) at any time, with or without notice. We may also terminate or suspend your access if you violate these terms.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always available at this URL with the date of the most recent update. Continued use of the add-on after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute related to the add-on shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
